    Honda motorcycle help

I have a CRF50f for my 6 year old that he rarely rides and has been easy to start and run but now I have a problem.

It starts easily with choke, takes a while to warm up and idle steadily without choke but as soon as I give it gas it dies. I just changed spark plug which looks like it was rich. Now I'm cleaning air filter but I think my air/fuel mixture is probably off.

In below picture, upper screw us idle adjustment and lower I think is air/fuel but no info in owners manual and Internet search didn't yield good info. Anyone familiar with this bike?

I would flush the tank, if it sits and doesnt get ridden keep that tank empty

Literally let the carb soak in some fresh gas. Drain tank and fill with fresh gas. If that's not the problem i'm not familiar with that exact model, but that most likely will solve the problem as the gas has turned to lacquer.

Love my 50's... No kids because the kid in me rides them. Lol I use to have that problem clean the carb real well as stated above. Paying attention to the needle and seat. Turn the fuel off if he is done riding it. If it's going to sit for awhile run some fuel stabilizer through it. I run 100 octane every few tanks. Not sure if that does anything but sure makes it fun to ride and if you take the flame arrestor out you can throw some nice fire balls at night with it.
