    Scca bod meeting notes

They are going to start really cracking down on people who do not report for work assignments. Pam has been taking notes and will be issuing warnings. After you get a warning the next step is a straight up ban. With the autocross events reacing 140 plus registrants they cant afford to have folks skipping out. If you need to leave just make sure you check out with Pam.

Group buy of helmets closed out tonight sorry you snooze you loose.

They have decided to book 3 events at the Silverton during the summer montbs for night runs but more of the lot will be available. Woot!

They are talking about an up comming MOPAR event. They may need volunteers to work it. TBD.

    Thats all I got.

Next Auto x is a 2 day event in St George Utah.

    From the SCCA forum.

    Hi Everyone,
It was brought up at the last meeting that several folks skipped out on worker assignments because they told Pam they worked set up or tech. Some just plain skipped out at the end of the day. Our events can only run with enough workers for each worker position. Pam keeps track of who works where and who does not check in. Beginning with the next event this is what will happen:

If you do not check in and work, you will receive a reminder from the RE (everyone makes a mistake)
If it happens a second time, you will work first and then run
If it happens a 3rd time, you will be asked to not participate in an event

With regard to "specialty" jobs (registration, tech, set up, trailer, announcer, timing/scoring, new driver team). The chief of each of those will have notified their workers ahead of time. Please do not show up for those positions unless you have been specifically asked. Pam will know who worked those. If you want to volunteer that is awesome, but you will still be assigned an additional job at the event.

If you have any questions or concerns, please post up. Thanks!!

    Sue

Meeting Notes from Tonight 24 April 2014

The Majority of the meeting was spent talking about the Club Trailer. They are looking to purchase a Winnebago or a Big Transit Van and get rid of the Trailer. The trailer is to small for all the cones and other equipment that is being carried. It's also dangerous to tow being that it so heavy with all the clubs gear in it. So if you see a Winnebago or transit van for sale that looks like it's in good shape the LVRSCCA is looking to purchase one. They are looking to spend about $10k

The schedule is looking pretty packed for the Silverton dates for the summer. Meaning there will consecutive weekends with events during the summer months.
I brought up the thought of using the venue we were going to use for invasion if the Silverton fell through. They were interested even though this is the second time it was brought up. Courtesy of NOSMO.

They gave out some info pamphlets from the SCCA for first timers I grabbed a few I will bring to the meet tomorrow night if anyone is interested.

    That's it till next month.

    Slightly used. Killer deal.

On a serious note good job at keeping everyone up on the BOD meetings.

SCCA Meeting Notes 22 May 2014

BOD is looking into giving out some kind of an award or other event type trophy for each class winner for each event. Something in the form of a plaques or event class winner decal.. More to come on this.

BOD is still looking to purchase a small motor home and ditch the trailer altogether.

There is another group buy for helmets coming around I will get more details and post it here in the club racing section as it becomes available.

They ask that folks try and get your car classed before registration or at least get with a experienced member to help you class your ride it will speed things up at registration

LVRSCCA is asking folks to come out to CARS and Coffee with SCCA numbers on your car to promote the club and draw more participants and perhaps sponsors

    That's all for this month
