    Tint interferes with radio antenna

I had SunTek High Performance (Dyed-Metal) 5% tint installed over the factory privacy glass on my 2006 Tribeca today at Studio Tint. The FM reception is fine but AM has totally dropped off. Do you guys think ceramic film would offer better reception, and would ceramic film look the same as the HP film?

Ceramic will be much better for reception and even better for HEAT resistance. The dark cheap stuff doesn't do much besides obstruct your view. You don't have to get dark tint to stop the heat. You get what you pay for. Go to a reputable shop (you'll get a warranty too btw) or one of the guys on the forum who KNOWS what they're doing, not just able to apply film to your window.
